Later Outlaw - also known as John Anderson - pleaded guilty to attempted strangulation on Monday, March 11 in connection to a domestic assault in Mamaroneck in November last year.

Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. said that at approximately 3 a.m. on Nov. 2 last year, Outlaw and his girlfriend got into an argument. To prevent her from getting in her car to leave the area, Outlaw punched her in the face.

After striking her, Outlaw proceeded to take his girlfriend’s sweatshirt and wrapped it around her neck, causing her to gasp for air, Scarpino said. She was able to eventually get free and alerted local law enforcement. A warrant was issued for Outlaw’s arrest and he was arrested by officers from the Mamaroneck Police Department on Dec. 6.

Outlaw, 41, who has no known address, pleaded guilty to attempted strangulation, a violent felony. Scarpino said he will be sentenced as a violent predicate felony offender on June 10.
